Fairview Farm is central Virginia’s largest country chic farm venue, located in Powhatan, VA. Couples and guests who are looking for a relaxing venue where rustic meets chic and burlap meets lace have discovered their new large cedar board and batten two story gambrel roof barn venue. Family owned for 100 years, Fairview Farm was transformed last year into a wedding and event venue that accommodates up to 245 guests.

Mandy + Greg

Mandy and Greg met in high school Spanish class and started dating when he asked Mandy to his senior prom, the rest (as they say) is history. Their first date was Panera Bread, followed by bowling, because greg is obsessed with bowling. They both attended UVA, but Greg being a year older, graduated and went Oklahoma for grad school while Mandy finished up her last year. They have been together nearly 7 years and got engaged this past Christmas Eve. Mandy told me he proposed with a mason jar of roses and a note, a list of all their important dates throughout their six year relationship, with the last one being … “December 24th 2014… Engaged!” They both will be moving to OK at the end of this month where they will FINALLY all be together, their adorable dog Teddy included!

They really are such a charming couple and I could photograph them all day! We had so much fun at Fairview Farm, first starting out by the tree swing and ending with the most perfect summer sunset. Mandy was such a trooper, she climbed a bale of hay for me and walked through a field of wheat, but the photos are oh so worth it!! I love capturing their genuine moments, my favorites are when they are both laughing at each other and they both have incredible smiles! There is no doubt the love they have for one another and I know they are going to live a wonderful life together in Oklahoma.
