I thought it was appropriate, since this is WPPI   (Wedding & Portrait Photography Conference & Expo) week, to write a post about one (of many) vendors/products that are there, GraphiStudio.  I have not yet been to WPPI but I’ve wanted to for many years now, so I’m definitely going to make it happen next year!  This was my first time ordering with GraphiStudio, so my first time using their software, communicating with customer service, etc.  I can say now, in the end was it worth it? Yes.  My only complaints were that I had to play phone tag with costumer service a lot, especially since the albums are made in Italy, you never get to directly talk to production, your customer service agent has to relay the messages to them.   I was ‘guaranteed’ a date of delivery, which I ended up getting it nearly a week later, which I understand, things happen, but  frustrating none the less.

Once I got the albums, I was extremely happy with the quality, seeing it on the screen and then having it in your hands, its quite impressive, these photos do not even do them justice.

GraphiStudio has SO many options: The Original Wedding Book, The Digital Matted Album, Image Boxes, and Smaller Copies.  Then you get into what kind of paper: Smooth & Textured, Photographic Paper, Metallic & Pearl Paper, not to mention what kind of thickness.  There are cover options: Metal, Transparent, Silk, Leather, Cowhide, Crystal Glance, just to name a few.  Then there are extras  you can offer, such as debossing and laser engraving.  Lastly, you get to choose how you’d like to keep stored/showcased, in an Art Box, Suitcase, Stylish Sleeve, Leatherette Sleeve, Cowhide Sleeve, etc.

DSC_3570This Bride and Groom ordered 3 identical 14×18 Landscape Original Wedding Books, 78 Thick Metallic Pages, with Crystal Glance Cover, and Leatherette Sleeves.  They are huge and heavy, they certainly make a statement!

How adorable are these 4×5 Pocket books and these mini (GraphiStudio calls them Mignons) books?  Clients love them and they make such great little keepsakes to hand out to some of their friends or guests at the Wedding.

The metallic pages really make these colors pop! It really was a great choice for this Indian Wedding.

Will I use GraphiStudio again? Absolutely.  The quality of their product really is top notch, and I will give them another try.  I am looking forward to trying some others I have my eye on as well, my top two being KISS Books and Leather Craftsmen.  As a Photographer, it is so easy to go with what you know, what you’re comfortable with, but it is important to explore all your options and decide what works best for you, your business, and your clients!
