Keri and Chuck met over 16 years ago at work, began dating 3 years later so that is THIRTEEN years together and they finally made it official at their intimate Sandbridge Beach Wedding last month. I was beyond excited that this was my first wedding since moving to the beach in September and Keri booked me even before I knew I was moving from Richmond, it was meant to be! When I met with Keri over a year ago, she did emphasize that the most important thing to them is capturing the love and laughter of their closest family and friends. She joked that for mostly everyone who knows them and will be attending, this wedding has been a long time coming. When her and Chuck went to visit the private beach house for the first time, above the door was a sign that read “All Inn,” they joked that indeed after 13 years they were finally going all in, the house was the perfect place for their “I do’s.”
They did plan to get married outside on the balcony under the gazebo, but it was a tad bit too windy and cold so they got married in the house instead. However, I did convince them to take some of their portraits outside, especially walking along the beach and it was so worth it, those are my favorite! Keri had warned me ahead of time that Chuck is a talker with a short attention span and its hard to even get a photo of them without his mouth open because he is always mid sentence. Well, yes he was a talker but we were cracking jokes left and right and it made him laugh, he made Keri laugh and I LOVE those photos!! These two love each other so much, both have huge personalities, they know how to have FUN together, and this celebration was no exception. Everyone had a blast, the food trucks were amazing, the DJ was extremely entertaining, and there was even an ice luge. Amidst all the fun, this was very emotional and there were a lot of tears, happy tears by many, one very special moment that stuck out was Keri’s mother Kathie was the one who married them. Then when it came to dances after Keri and Chuck danced, she had a dance with her Stepfather, Father, and her Mother. Chuck’s Mother could not be there, so he shared a moment with his sisters and nieces, it was beautiful!
This was my last wedding of the season and how fitting for it to end on the beach, in the city that I now call home, doing what I love. Can’t wait to see what next year has in store!!
Chuck’s mother could not be there, so he honored her by wearing a photo on his boutonniere.
I loved how unique Keri’s dress was and she looked STUNNING in it!Her mother Kathie blessing the rope and rings, seriously so special!
I loved how Keri had her Stepfather Paul first walk her up the stairs, then handed her off to her father Rick who walked her the rest of the way.
