This was my 3rd year in a row photographing the Richmond SPCA Progressive Dinner in the historic homes on Monument Avenue!  For those of you who don’t know what it is, guests first start out with hors d’oeuvres, then travel to 3 different houses (all on adjacent blocks of Monument Ave) for dinner, each house with different caterers and food.  Finally, the evening ends at the 5th house, where guests can bid on the silent auction, enjoy dessert, and the winner of the raffle prize is announced.

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a HUGE animal lover!  If you follow me on instagram, I often post about my own dog, Capone (#mustlovedogs), our cats, or really any animal! When volunteering for the SPCA, especially for record-breaking and life saving events like this, I am blown away by everyone’s generosity, love for animals, and I am so thankful to have been a part of it.

I highly recommend everyone go out and volunteer for something they are passionate about, even if its just for an hour a week! And I encourage everyone to go the progressive dinner next year! Historic homes on Monument (come on, we’ve all been dying to be able to see inside!), adorable pups on site for adoption, amazing gourmet food, silent auction, and my favorite, a TON of various desserts! You can’t go wrong 😉
