This pink and navy rustic farm wedding took place on the bride’s family home, appropriately named Warriner’s Way Farm in Mechanicsville VA. This is where Lizzie and Henry first met before their first date, where we had their engagement session (you can view these photos HERE) so naturally this is where they became husband and wife.

A bit about the farm, from Lizzie: “Warriner’s Way Farm was a fully working English show barn for 8 years until 5 years ago when we downsized to become only my two retired guys. My parents work so very hard to keep it as gorgeous as you saw it on the wedding day, which has taken many years to get to! I’m very blessed to have grown up there and had the opportunity to marry the love of my life there as well.”
The Wedding
I had been to the farm twice before, but on the day of the wedding before I even reached the house, the details began along the fence, surrounding the property with flowers and a large monogram. Throughout the day, more and more details were reveled, a true labor of love from wedding professionals, family, and friends, everything had been carefully thought out, right down to the homemade cookies. I was especially impressed with the craftsmanship of the bourbon bar and dock built by Henry and Lizzie’s dad, from scratch!
The flowers provided by Black Creek Flowers and Sweets knocked it out of the park and the gorgeous peonies provided by Henry’s Aunt that lined the aisle Lizzie walked down was the perfect added touch. We captured a first look with Lizzie and her dad, which was precious and we got to whisk Lizzie away from some Bridal Portraits in the tall field of grass, which were absolutely gorgeous.
For Lizzie and Henry, the best was seeing the kids fishing and their friends playing corn hole late into the night, they had achieved the laid back atmosphere that they strived for, the entire year of planning had truly paid off!
