This past Saturday it was time for the 11th Annual Dog Jog & 5k run. It was pouring down rain in the morning, but once the 5k was about to start, it seemed to clear up, the sun came out, and off we went! It was easy to push myself while running because it was for a great cause, for the animals and everyone knows how much of a dog lover I am! I ended up finishing 14th in my age group out of 53, so I was pretty proud, especially since its my second race ever! Once I finished running and took a breather, I was able to capture some shots with my camera. Before the Dog Jog began I was able to gain access to the roof of the SPCA to get some great aerial perspectives of how many people and dogs were there. From the amount of barking, it sure was undeniable that they all had a great time! My pup Capone and I sure did too! The raffle sales still need to be tallied for the final total, but already the Richmond SPCA reached their goal of raising $137,000!
A HUGE thanks to all the volunteers, vendors, sponsors, all that came out to support, and all of YOU that donated for this great cause! Until next year …
My boy Capone getting amped up for the jog. He may look old, but he’s still got a lot of spunk!
