Ryan and I met in Photography School at the Hallmark Institute of Photography back in 2006, he was very young, had dreads, and a huge southern accent. It wasn’t before long that our groups of friends started to hang out and now, 9 years later I can say he is my very dear friend. We were roommates at one point when I lived in Asheville for a year a while back and it was quite a treat getting to hang out all the time, being witness to his antics, which always kept me laughing. A lot has happened in the past 9 years, successes, failures, heartbreaks … life … growing up … I will never forget the day when Ryan called me and told me he was going to be a Dad. It has been amazing watching Ryan grow into such an amazing man, father, and now a husband. I was so honored when he asked me to Photograph his Wedding at Bells Cove in Asheville, NC. I had only met Shelly a few times prior, but I knew they were PERFECT for each other right away. Their Wedding Day complimented their laid back, fun loving, ‘we just want everyone to have a good time’ personalities and I was blown away by all their friends and family that poured love into every last detail and helped make this their dream come true. And it really was a dream, from the Blue Ridge Mountains, to the wild flowers, to the handmade carrot cake, to the BBQ dinner, down to the playlist that Ryan had made himself that had everyone dancing the entire night.
