Austin and Megan were already engaged, but Austin still had another surprise in store! Early one November morning, the three of us (and their dog Mojo) met at this gorgeous location along the James River in Richmond, VA. Megan knew we were taking engagement photos, but 15 minutes later, a small band formed and Austin started serenading Megan! It was a surprise for me too, because I had no idea he would be singing, but I must say, he was pretty good! Don’t we all wish our significant others would serenade us from time to time?
After the performance, we ventured deeper through the river because Austin had his heart set on their final destination being this giant log that had fallen long ago that was now wedged between two rocks. The river was so high from Superstorm Sandy and the rain that he had to bring a plank for us to get over some tricky spots. (Again, how sweet, huh?) Once they made it to the log, my job was over and I made my way back, leaving them to some privacy, just the two of them, the river, and the sunrise. It was such an amazing adventure, (well worth the soaked feet) I absolutely love couples that step out of the ordinary and this was really something special! I wish them the best on their upcoming Wedding this December, how exciting!
