I was SO excited when Lizzie told me she wanted to take their engagement photos on her parents’ farm in Mechanicsville, VA a) because I there would be horses involved and b) they wanted to hang a sign with their wedding date and take photos high up from the barn loft window, which meant I got to stand on a ladder on top of a rig her father set up for me! We spent the evening on different parts of the farm, their adorable dog Dalton tagged along and Lizzie’s horses, who are now happily living the retired life even cooperated for some shots.  I then got to sit down with the whole family for an amazing dinner, it has been such a pleasure getting to know Lizzie and Henry and now, most of her family.  I cannot wait for their Wedding in May which will also take place on this gorgeous farm!!
