So those of us who have lived in New England our whole lives were not quite prepared for the storm that hit us Saturday October 29th into Sunday. But then again … it’s New England. Foliage that still clung to many trees helped the widespread snapping of limbs, branches and trees throughout the area of Nashua and the surrounding towns. Almost 3 million customers across the Northeast are currently without power, myself included. Sunday morning, I took my camera and captured a few images from around my neighborhood.

PSNH said the statistics put the nasty, wind-swept nor’easter, which it dubbed the “Snowtober Storm,” in third place on the list of weather events that have caused the most outages. Only the December 2008 ice storm and last year’s February windstorm rank higher in terms of outages, officials said.
Also, the storm dumped the most snow New Hampshire has seen in any October for 140 years, Bickford said, adding that like Tropical Storm Irene, the storm impacted the entire Northeast.
