Back in July (wow has it been that long?) I attended my first ever styled shoot, called the Shoot Share, put together by the gorgeous and talented ladies: Ashley Link http://www.v-a-photography.com Nikki Santerre http://nikkisanterre.com and Amanda Burnette http://intoitevents.com whose work I have admired and followed since moving here to Richmond. It was just published on 100 Layer Cake, (you can view it HERE) so now I can finally share my images!
It took place at the Historic Mankin Mansion, one of the top Wedding venues in Richmond and the inspiration behind the shoot was Midsummer Night’s Dream. The weather that day was definitely no one’s dream, with downpours, thunder and lightening, but we just took it all in stride, including the models who were incredible! Looking back at it all now, the lighting was to die for and despite the rain, we got some amazing images and made some new friends. Can’t wait to attend another one!
Obsessed with the gold details!
Seriously, how gorgeous is the Historic Mankin Masion?
I had to include some behind the scene shots! PAPARAZZI!
And a nice little reminder for us all ….

Melissa, these pictures are beautiful. You are such a talented photographer, I so wish we lived closer so that I could hire you! (But I am sure boring family photos are not as nice as a big wedding! HA!) Seriously, you have proven yourself to be a true talent as well as a strong business woman – you have much to be proud of – I am sure Memere and Pepere watch you in amazement!!!
Jackie, you just made my day, this was the sweetest thing ever and so unexpected! Thank you so much! I would LOVE to take photos of your beautiful family next time we are all together (family reunion?! haha). I sure do miss Memere and Pepere and I hope they are proud, I’m using part of their last name for the business! Representing the French 😉 Love you lots! xoxo
