Burgundy and white Country Club at the Highlands Wedding

Emily and Allen got married on the most perfect fall day at The Country Club at the Highlands in Chesterfield, VA. I just loved their color scheme, the burgundy bridesmaids dresses paired with the white flowers complimented Emily’s fiery red hair perfectly (I told her she reminded me of Rose Leslie for all you Game of Thrones fans out there). She was absolutely STUNNING in her lace gown from Bliss Bridal and Bradley Mischka flats. Allen wins out of all my grooms for the best smile, he seriously couldn’t stop cheesing for the entire day, I loved it! They were surrounded by the most fabulous, supportive family and friends and it was great seeing two families come together.

Emily and Allen met at a tennis tournament, so naturally the favors were tennis ball cake pops and on top of the gorgeous cake (made by her grandmother!) it read “A Perfect Match.” That couldn’t have been more true, since the first time I met with them, I could just tell they truly knew each other, loved each other, and most importantly they could be themselves. I quickly found out, they are both goofballs with incredibly good dance skills. When I asked their favorite thing about one other, it was unanimously that they can make each other laugh and be silly together. It was so important to them that all the guests truly enjoyed themselves on their big day and that they have those memories captured to look bak on for years to come. I’d say based on the dancing and the amount of reception images I delivered, that was achieved and then some. You know you have the best job in the world when it doesn’t feel like work, I truly enjoying being there, dancing along, the atmosphere just felt good all around.
