One of the many Fine Art product options we offer are called “Float Wraps“. Many people aren’t too familiar with this type of product and so we are here to explain a little more about them…

A Float Wrap is a new, unique option to display your images instead of traditional framed prints and offer a more modern, contemporary look. Float Wraps are essentially mounted prints that add dimension by extending out from the wall. They are unique in that they appear to be floating on the wall with the main focus on the image. You can also create a modern gallery look with a Float Wrap Wall Display.

Float Wraps are created by wrapping the photographic print or canvas print around masonite to create a thin wrap. The print or canvas is protected with a laminate and padding is added between the print and the masonite to give the front of the Float Wrap a raised, elegant look and feel. The back of the Float Wrap is complete with black paper backing and a black ¾” gatorboard block that allows the Float Wrap to extend out from the wall. The back of the block also contains drilled holes for easy hanging. Or, if you’d prefer, you can also display your Float Wrap on an easel.

All of our Float Wraps are finished with a protective laminate to preserve the image for up to 200 years. This laminate protects it from fingerprints, light scratches, and  harmful UV rays which fade and discolor unprotected prints over time. You may order Fine Art Canvas Wraps with a Semi-Gloss Laminate or Metallic Canvas Wraps with a High Gloss Laminate. Lustre and Metallic Photographic prints are finished with a Matte Laminate. Our Float Wraps are available in many popular sizes from 8×10 all the way up to 20×30.
