When Temi first contacted me about an anniversary session, we hit it off right away and I was so excited with everything she wanted to incorporate into the shoot. Temi and her husband Gabe wanted to relive their wedding day, as much as they could, a little token for themselves for celebrate their first year of marriage through beautiful photos!
Her and Gabe met while in college, she was a freshman and he was a sophomore. Temi lived in a dorm on the second floor and to her surprise, Gabe was actually the first floor RA and the rest is history! Their actual anniversary is July 26th, but we didn’t have the shoot until the end of August, in a secluded part of Frying Pan Park surrounded by fields of corn and the most gorgeous sunset! They both wanted to start out in a dressy outfit and then get into their wedding attire, its so great to see when brides get to wear their wedding dress again, Temi was stunning!!
Here’s a few things Temi had to say about the special props for the shoot and you can see them ALL below! “The champagne bottle was actually a wedding gift from a friend and she wrote a note to drink it after our first year of marriage:) My mom made these beautiful little rice bags for our guests on the wedding day so I thought, why not relive the rice throwing with each other?! That turned out to be so much fun! I just knew that I wanted to incorporate big balloons too and I’m so glad after all the searching that we finally found light pink ones! I always wanted my wedding colors to be pink, red, and white, but I felt that would be too “girly” of a wedding day for Gabe so I decided to use those colors for the one year shoot!”
Temi and Gabe, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your 1st anniversary, we all had so much fun, many laughs were shared, and it felt like we were old friends by the end of it. You two are so special and your love is genuine, can’t wait for you to share many more anniversaries!
Seriously, how adorable are you two?!
